NLC India and Rajasthan to form joint venture for sustainable energy

This strategic partnership, endorsed by the vision of the Honorable Prime Minister for Energy Security and the guidance of Honourable Minister for Coal, Mines, and Parliamentary Affairs Shri. Prahlad Joshi, is set to revolutionize the nation’s approach to sustainable, affordable, and round-the-clock power supply.

The MOU encompasses a colossal investment exceeding Rs 7000 Crores, earmarked for the formation of a Joint Venture aimed at establishing a 125 MW Lignite Based Power Plant and a 1000 MW Solar Power Plant. The initiative is not only a testament to NLC India’s commitment to renewable energy but also aligns with the company’s vision to evolve into a power major with a capacity of 17 GW, including over 6 GW from renewable sources by 2030.
