Next Century Spirits (NCS), a US-based spirits company, has acquired XED Beverages, a health-conscious beverages retailer, for an undisclosed price.
The acquisition is expected to fast-track the emergence of Next Century Spirits as a total beverage alcohol company.
It comes close on the heels of Next Century Spirits launch of Truthteller 1839 Whiskey in association with Fox Entertainment, Bear Fight American Single Malt Whiskey, Co-Founded by Seth McFarlane, and Caddy Cocktails with golfer Greg Norman.
XED Beverages owns ready to drink seltzer portfolio that creates “better for you” brands.
Launched in March 2021, XED Beverages’ first brand SESH is claimed to be now a top 10 overall brand in focus markets and is in major retailers in 11 states in the US and expanding.
The second brand HAPE is a sake based spiked seltzer claimed to be made with only real tea, real junmai sake, and real fruit, and is available in key retailers in California.
Anthony Moniello — Next Century Spirits Co-CEO said: “The acquisition of XED Beverages is another positive step in the growth of our portfolio.
“XED has great momentum and their consumer first mindset fits right into Next Century’s Spirits philosophy.
“We believe that with our growing route to market team, NCS will help accelerate the growth of both SESH and HAPE and ensure consumers are getting access to these amazing products.”
In addition to XED Beverages’ SESH and HAPE Sake Spritz, the brand portfolio of Next Century Spirits includes Creek Water Whiskey, Caddy Cocktails, and Bear Fight American Single Malt Whiskey.
Zeke Bronfman and Nate Medow — XED Beverages Co-Founders said: “We look forward to accelerating the exponential growth of our brands – SESH and HAPE – with the support of NCS’ sales and distribution team and creating new to world brands together to complement NCS’ existing portfolio and meet evolving consumer needs.”
