MG Motor India launches enhanced variant of ZS EV with advanced autonomous capabilities

British automobile company, MG Motor India, has introduced a new variant of its ZS EV equipped with Autonomous Level-2, or ADAS, priced at Rs 27.89 lakhs for a limited period.

The newly enhanced ZS EV presents a blend of electric power, internet connectivity, and autonomous driving capabilities. With an attractive on-road presence, comfortable driving experience, and luxurious interiors, the SUV demonstrates the advancement of electric mobility.

The ZS EV’s Autonomous Level 2 (ADAS) technology operates on three sensitivity levels – low, medium and high, and offers three types of warnings – haptic, audio and visual. Safety-enhancing features include Traffic Jam Assist (TJA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Speed Assist System (SAS), Lane Functions and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC). These technologies improve the driving experience by providing assistance in varying driving scenarios, thereby ensuring the safety of passengers.

The electric SUV boasts a battery designed to meet rigorous safety and performance requirements, improving its durability and lifespan under Indian driving conditions. It is equipped with an IP69K-rated battery for superior dust and water resistance, and complies with the UL2580 Safety Management System and ASIL-D Enhanced Safety Integrity Level rating.

The ZS EV provides a range of versatile charging options, offering convenience for different lifestyles.

The vehicle can be charged through six solutions such as DC Super-Fast Chargers at dealerships, AC Fast Chargers which can be installed at homes and offices by MG, an onboard plug-and-charge cable, RSA (Roadside Assistance), and community chargers among others.

The ZS EV, with its wide SUV stance and progressive look, ensures uninterrupted, performance-assured ownership. It boasts an extended driving range of 461 km on a single charge, thanks to its 50.3kWh advanced prismatic battery. This enables owners to undertake longer journeys with confidence.

The exterior design features full LED Hawkeye headlamps, LED tail lamps, and R17 Tomahawk hub design alloy wheels. The vehicle comes in four colours: Glaze Red, Aurora Silver, Starry Black, and Candy White, and is available in three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Exclusive Pro.

The ZS EV comes with the iSMART next-gen technology offering 75+ connected car features for smoother, satisfying driving experiences. It also includes first-in-segment features like a Digital Key and a full digital cluster with a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen. The ZS EV also offers 100+ VR commands for various features.

Safety features include a 1st in-segment 360-degree around view camera, rear parking sensors, Hill Descent Control (HDC), 6 airbags (dual, front, side, and curtain), electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a hill-start assist. The ZS EV’s interiors come in a Dual-tone Iconic ivory theme and a Dark Grey theme, and a first-in-segment rear AC vent.

The ZS EV’s 8-layer hairpin motor delivers 176PS power and provides a 0-100 km/h acceleration in just 8.5 seconds. The vehicle comes with three driving modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport. As with other MG vehicles, the ZS EV is part of the unique car ownership program “MG e-SHIELD” with after-sales service options for the assurance and convenience of owners.
