Mews Systems, a cloud-based property management software provider based in the Czech Republic, has secured $33 million in investment in a Series B round to further speed up its expertise to transform how hotels operate and serve guests.

The funding led by investment firm Battery Ventures will enable new technology players to find innovative ways of providing hospitality experiences.

Post investment, Mews is planning to establish a new standard of excellence in hospitality by bring other first-of-their-kind features to hotel operations.

Richard Valtr – founder of Mews said: “The hospitality industry has been slow in adapting to today’s guests’ expectations, to make their stay easy, enjoyable and memorable.

“Mews was created to help hotels run far more efficiently so that they can switch their focus entirely back to the guest.

“We are building technology that enhances human capabilities to elevate the design and curation of experiences as the primary business of hospitality, away from repetitive data entry.”
