Maruti Suzuki introduces eco-friendly FRONX S-CNG SUV in India
In a stride towards a sustainable future, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has unveiled the FRONX S-CNG, a new model under its NEXA retail line.
Aimed at the emerging group of young, eco-conscious consumers, the new vehicle brings an environment-friendly driving experience alongside a host of modern features.
The FRONX S-CNG, a sports utility vehicle (SUV), boasts a variety of safety and entertainment features. Notable among these are Dual Front Airbags, Reverse Parking Sensors, and the SmartPlay Pro infotainment system. Powered by an Advanced 1.2L K-Series DualJet, Dual VVT engine, the vehicle produces peak power outputs of 57kW@6000rpm / 77.5PS@6000rpm and a maximum torque of 98.5Nm@4300rpm in CNG mode.
The SUV stands out in Maruti Suzuki’s S-CNG lineup, offering an unparalleled fuel-efficiency of 28.51 km/kg*, thereby setting a new benchmark in the segment. This model is offered with a five-speed manual transmission and is available in two variants – Sigma and Delta. Each variant is available in a range of body color options, allowing buyers to customize their driving experience.
As per the released technical specifications, the FRONX S-CNG measures 3995mm in length, 1550mm in height (unladen), and 1765mm in width. The car is also unique in its power specifications, with a maximum power of 66kW@6000rpm / 89.73PS@6000rpm and a maximum torque of 113Nm@4400rpm in petrol mode.

Prices for the FRONX S-CNG start from INR 8,41,500 for the Sigma variant and INR 9,27,500 for the Delta variant. These prices are quoted ex-showroom.

Maruti Suzuki is also offering an innovative option to consumers with its “Maruti Suzuki Subscribe” scheme. This allows customers to experience the new car without owning it. The subscription fee, starting from INR 23,248 monthly, covers comprehensive costs, including complete registration, service & maintenance, insurance, and roadside assistance. This step underlines Maruti Suzuki’s aim to make their eco-friendly vehicles more accessible to a broader consumer base in India.
