L&T Technology Services to support Airbus commercial and innovation programs
L&T Technology Services, a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro (L&T), will support the European aerospace corporation Airbus in core verticals and technology areas for the latter’s ongoing commercial and innovation programs.
Under a multi-year contract, L&T Technology Services will provide advanced engineering capabilities and digital manufacturing services to Airbus.
L&T Technology Services’ engineers will support Airbus’ Numerical Control Programming Cluster, including composite production, standard machining, trimming and cutting, advanced machining, control and metrology, fast shop machining, drilling and riveting, and technical support.
In addition, the Indian pure-play engineering services company will provide design and stress support for advanced capabilities, including thermal analysis, advanced failure analysis, vulnerability assessment, modeling services, and manufacturing simulation.
L&T Technology Services will provide the engineering support from the company’s offshore facility in Bengaluru, India and near shore center in Toulouse, France, with onsite support at Airbus locations in the UK, Spain, France, and Germany.

In 2022, L&T Technology Services was recognized as a Global Strategic Engineering Supplier under the Airbus’ Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Services Strategic Suppliers (EMES3) program.
L&T Technology Services provides consultancy, design, development and testing services across the product and process development life cycle.
As of December 31, 2022, the Indian-headquartered company had 22 global design centers, 28 global sales offices, and 91 innovation labs.
Recently, L&T Technology Services signed a deal to acquire the Smart World & Communication business of L&T for INR 800 crores.
