Larsen & Toubro to distribute Kemroc cutting products in India

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Kemroc, a manufacturer of attachments for excavators and backhoe loaders, have forged a distribution agreement to enable the latter’s products to be distributed and promoted in India by the former.

Under the agreement, Larsen & Toubro will distribute Kemroc-developed special attachments, which includes its patented EK series of Chain Cutters. According to Larsen & Toubro, the chain cutters are a game changer in rock trenching and are widely accepted around the world, including India.

Kemroc was founded originally in 2021 in Germany by Klaus Ertmer, who introduced a new series of efficient chain cutters, cutter wheels, drum cutters, trenchers, patch planners, pile cutters, and drilling augurs in 2017. The equipment are used in applications covering trench excavation, foundation excavation, tunnel excavation, quarrying, old structures’ demolition, road works, asphalt milling, drilling holes, and under-water excavation.

Larsen & Toubro said that the partnership with Kemroc will allow it to grow its product offerings and offer comprehensive solutions to customers in the Indian construction industry.

The Indian engineering conglomerate is claimed to already offer special attachments like crusher bucket, demolition tools, rock breakers, quick couplers, and piling solutions with partnerships from global brands like Komatsu, Movax, and Sandvik.

Larsen & Toubro revealed that it has bagged an initial order for Kemroc KRL110 Pile Cutter attachment for job-work for the Paradip refinery in Odisha of IOCL.
