In a significant political shift in Andhra Pradesh, Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan has announced an alliance with the Telugu Desam party (TD). Pawan Kalyan made the announcement in Rajahmundry after meeting TD chief Chandrababu Naidu, who is currently in Central Prison. Pawan Kalyan expressed hopes that the BJP would consider joining this alliance in the upcoming state polls.

Pawan Kalyan outlined plans for a joint action strategy to strengthen the Jana Sena-Telugu Desam alliance. He noted that consultations would take place among party leaders and cadre from both parties, aiming for coordination to defeat the ruling YSR Congress party in the state. The Jana Sena leader expressed concern over how Chandrababu Naidu had been arrested in the AP skill development scam, criticizing Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy for political vendetta against Naidu.

The alliance with Telugu Desam is solely for the state’s development, stated Pawan Kalyan. He warned officers serving under Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to be cautious, as they too could find themselves implicated in similar legal troubles as Naidu. According to Pawan Kalyan, the alliance aims to prevent the splitting of anti-Jagan Reddy votes, citing the Chief Minister’s vindictive politics as the reason for uniting opposition forces.

In a stark prediction, Pawan Kalyan maintained that the YSR Congress government would last only six more months. He cautioned that anyone involved in illegal activities, such as sand mining, would face legal action once the Jana Sena-Telugu Desam alliance comes to power in Andhra Pradesh.
