Infosys to help Packable boost D2C e-commerce offerings for brand partners

Infosys has announced a partnership with US-based e-commerce company Packable under which it will help the latter amplify its direct to consumer (D2C) e-commerce offerings for its brand partners.

Recently, Packable signed a $1.55 billion merger deal with a blank check company called Highland Transcend Partners in order to go public. Through the partnership with Packable, Infosys will integrate its human-centric digital commerce platform — Infosys Equinox with the Packable IQ e-commerce platform.

According to Infosys, the partnership will enhance Packable’s capacity to provide its partners a direct to consumer platform called D2C-in-a-box that will be engaging, innovative, and agile.

Packable, which will be equipped with Equinox’s microservices-based, API first as well as cloud-native design, will be better positioned to provide greater value to its brand partners through the new D2C-in a-box package.

Infosys Equinox in combination with Packable IQ’s intelligent pricing, transactional data for consumers as well as smart inventory management and a wide range of fulfillment capabilities will create an extremely competitive D2C platform that can run and manage online stores and operations, said Infosys. It will also allows brands to design curated D2C journeys that can launch in a matter of weeks.

The Infosys Equinox-powered cloud-native D2C platform will combine the best of Packable and Infosys for brands in the form of Packable IQ along with the end-to-end commerce-as-a-service of Infosys Equinox for enterprises, to power results throughout the buying lifecycle.

The solution will provide an inventory of complementary and comprehensive services that can be integrated easily into existing core systems as well as new platforms to provide headless commerce capabilities alongside real-time analytics and insights that are available upon demand.

The D2C platform will also give brands the latest technological advancements such as chat-based commerce, augmented reality, voice and social commerce, which will allow brands to interact with customers via rich and hyper-customized experiences.
