Infosys completes major technology program with Team Global Express
Infosys, a prominent figure in digital services and consulting, has triumphantly concluded its technology landscape separation with the Australian express logistics company, Team Global Express. The program, which utilized Infosys Cobalt’s blueprints and tools, marks a significant milestone in their strategic partnership, enhancing hybrid cloud-powered innovations.
This extensive project involved the migration of over 300 applications to a new greenfield technology environment, ensuring zero business disruption for more than 4,000 users across over 100 sites. The migrated applications now reside in a leading sustainable and energy-efficient data center and public cloud, reflecting a strong commitment to modernizing the technology landscape and adopting a cloud-first strategy. The transition has not only modernized Team Global Express’s infrastructure but has also reduced the technical debt from its parent organization.
A significant aspect of the program was its focus on minimizing operational impact, which was achieved by embedding a cloud-first approach into the core business strategy. This strategic move led to 70% of the applications being cloud-based, which supports a secure, agile foundation for ongoing digital transformations and reduces overall risk by enhancing infrastructure and security posture. The successful migration has also significantly improved operational productivity and employee experience by minimizing disruptions.
The collaborative efforts between Infosys and Team Global Express have been recognized with the prestigious 2024 ISG Paragon Award ANZ in the gold category, showcasing the exceptional results of their teamwork.
