Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has commenced the fiscal year 2025 with remarkable sales figures, selling a total of 533,585 units in April 2024. This marks a significant 34.7% growth compared to April 2023, where sales were recorded at 396,107 units. The company also experienced a sequential growth of 9% over March 2024’s sales of 490,415 units.

Dominance in Key Motorcycle Segments

The notable growth in April underscores Hero MotoCorp’s strong sales trajectory, particularly in the 125cc and 400+cc segments. The Xtreme 125R continues to see high demand nationwide, with Hero rapidly ramping up supplies to ensure timely deliveries. Additionally, the commencement of deliveries for their flagship product, the Mavrick 440, further bolstered sales figures. This new model has received positive initial feedback from customers, particularly noted during handovers by Dr. Pawan Munjal, Executive Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, in Delhi NCR.

Expansion and Investment in Nepal

Further expanding its global footprint, Hero MotoCorp, in partnership with its authorized distributor CG Motors, inaugurated a new product assembly facility in Nepal. This facility is expected to produce 75,000 units annually, enhancing the company’s capacity and creating significant job opportunities in the region. CG Motors also plans to expand its sales and service network rapidly, aiming to establish over 100 outlets in Nepal within the next three months.

Continued Success in Motorsports

In the realm of motorsports, Hero MotoSports Team Rally maintained its impressive track record, securing podium finishes in the World Championship races. Team rider Sebastian Buhler won 2nd place, contributing to Hero’s continued leadership in the W2RC 2024 Manufacturer rankings, where they hold a 3-point lead.

Hero MotoCorp’s strong performance in April 2024 highlights its sustained market dominance and strategic expansion efforts, setting a robust pace for the rest of the fiscal year.
