GrubMarket acquires Seattle-based food supplier Hung San Foods

GrubMarket, a California-based farm-to-table food delivery service, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Hung San Foods, a Washington-based food supplier to local grocery stores and restaurants.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hung San Foods has a client portfolio, which includes grocery stores, supermarkets, chain restaurants, single-unit restaurants, schools, and large institutional accounts across Seattle.

With the acquisition of Hung San Foods, GrubMarket’s expertise is expected to be strengthened and expand its geographical presence in the Seattle area.

Mike Xu – CEO of GrubMarket said: “Hung San Foods is an incredibly reputable and long-standing food supplier in the Seattle region. We are delighted to welcome them to the GrubMarket family, as we have some exciting plans in the works.”

Hung San Foods is GrubMarket’s first acquisition in the Pacific Northwest. The food supplier is now expected to make use of GrubMarket’s strong produce supply chain network and also its WholesaleWare software suite.

It will remain based in the Seattle area and will continue to be managed by its present leadership team.
