A gas leak incident at a factory in Ludhiana in Punjab has resulted in the death of at least 11 people, while another 11 became unconscious and are being treated in hospital.
According to a senior district official, the gas leak at the factory located in the Giaspura area was reported on Sunday.
NDRF teams were rushed to the Ludhiana factory on Sua road, while a team of doctors as well as firefighters also made it to the site.
Police are present and have secured the area. Investigations are ongoing.
