ECOS to launch ECOSNext liquidless laundry detergent
ECOS, a maker of earth-friendly products, is unveiling its newest innovation ECOSNext, a liquidless formulation of its laundry detergent in a lightweight and compact laundry square.
ECOSNext will be launched at Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California in early March 2020.
According to ECOS, the new product comes in a liquidless and powderless formula which concentrates the active ingredients, making a paper-thin square of powerful detergent that is said to take up minimal space and provides a mess-free washing.
The new laundry detergent product is said to be a no-waste solution to laundry, as each square completely dissolves in all water temperatures, and the compact, paperboard packaging is fully recyclable.
Each ECOSNext square is paper-thin and premeasured for a single load of laundry and is tossed simply into the washing machine. The squares can be cut further into smaller sizes for travel or small loads.
The liquidless and powderless detergent is said to be gentle, hypoallergenic, velvety smooth to the touch, pH neutral, and even mild enough for washing laundry by hand, according to ECOS.
ECOSNext is available in Magnolia & Lily, Lavender Vanilla, and Free & Clear versions.
Kelly Vlahakis-Hanks – President & CEO of ECOS said: “We’re incredibly excited to bring this new innovation to consumers and retailers. We’re committed to developing greener formulations and packaging solutions that make life easier for the people who use our products while helping to preserve our beautiful shared planet.”
Each box of ECOSNext weighs 200 grams and can deliver up to 57 laundry loads. When compared with the 50-load ECOS liquid laundry detergent, ECOSNext weighs 82% less and uses 98.7% less plastic.
ECOS said that its latest product is not made with any dyes, optical brighteners, or phthalates. ECOSNext is Leaping Bunny-certified which means like all ECOS products, it is not tested on animals and does not contain any animal products.
Additionally, the product is environmentally friendly as it is easily recyclable, readily biodegradable, and septic- and greywater-safe.
ECOSNext can be purchased exclusively online at Amazon.com. Starting from April, the product will make its retail debut at Whole Foods Market locations across the US.
