DHL Express expands Faridabad service centre to meet trade volume growth

DHL Express, a German logistics company, has expanded its Faridabad service facility to strengthen its network in the Delhi/National Capital Region (NCR).

According to the express service provider, the expansion of the centre forms part of its investment of €250 million in India since 2017. It also marks DHL Express India’s eighth service centre in the Delhi/NCR region and 53rd in the country.

The 9000-square-feet logistics facility in Faridabad is expected to help DHL Express meet the growing export and import business from banks, garment exporters, automobile industry, and other B2C customers in the region.

DHL Express with a network of more than 450 fleet vehicles, 67 daily international and 80 domestic commercial flights, and 33 weekly inter-continental flights offer its customers in India access to 800 cities within the country, apart from a global network.

R.S Subramanian — DHL Express SVP South Asia said: “The Faridabad service center expansion is part of the growth strategy.

“The region has seen a 70% increase in shipment volume over the last three years, necessitating infrastructure expansion to meet rising demand.

“We will continue to focus on being a key trade facilitator for businesses, making it easy for them to do business globally.”

DHL is part of Deutsche Post DHL Group, which generated revenues of over €81 billion in 2021.
