Coal India Limited said that its board of directors has given in-principle approval to a pre-feasibility report for establishing an integrated greenfield aluminium project in Odisha.
The integrated aluminium project will include bauxite mining, an alumina refinery, an aluminium smelter, and associated captive power plant. It will be owned by the company’s fully-owned subsidiary — Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL).
Coal India Limited is an Indian government-owned coal mining company.
