Udaipur Cement Works Limited (UCWL), operating under the banner of cement industry giant JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd, unveiled the commissioning of a 1.5 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) Clinkerisation Unit in Udaipur. Consequently, the company’s clinker production has seen an upward shift from 1.5 MTPA to a striking 3 MTPA. This enhancement aligns with UCWL’s vision to adapt to emerging cement consumption trends in its territories.

The expansion was enabled due to available land and the necessary Limestone Reserves in Udaipur Cement Works Limited’s mines. Predicting an upward trajectory in cement demand, Udaipur Cement Works Limited’s latest move is aimed at addressing a broader customer base and their requirements.

He stated, “To sustain and flourish in this demanding and competitive market, it is imperative for us to adapt, cater and grow with the consumption trends. We foresee a substantial uptick in the cement demand in the upcoming years, and this expansion project is our response to ensure a smooth and resilient supply chain… With this clinker capacity expansion, we are well-prepared to serve our customers and partners efficiently. By the end of FY 23-24, our total cement capacity will more than double to 4.7 MTPA from the existing 2.2 MTPA.”
