This move aims to bring forward the company’s vision of smarter operations and vehicles, enabling a robust private cloud environment for the high availability of IT resources without large upfront capital investment.

Vinod Gopinathan — Ashok Leyland Chief Information Officer said: “HPE is bringing market-leading cloud offerings to customers, along with the aid of their services expertise wherever required.

“As an existing HPE customer, we have had a firsthand experience of the simplicity, ease, and agility that cloud services from HPE offer. With trusted, innovative technology from HPE, we will continue to have the leading infrastructure, expertise, and scale to best meet our customer needs.”

What sets HPE GreenLake apart is its pay-per-use financial model, allowing Ashok Leyland to align costs more closely with revenue. The platform increases utilization rates, reduces the total cost of operations (TCO), and avoids overprovisioning, leading to a smaller data center footprint and power and cooling savings. This significant move is also in line with Ashok Leyland’s commitment to accelerating its green mobility agenda.

In order to meet the demands of Ashok Leyland, HPE has integrated Superdome Flex 280 Servers, replacing the existing environment. Each Superdome Flex 280 Server offers scalability up to a 12TB memory system, which can efficiently address any unplanned future requirements. These servers are equipped with advanced memory resiliency, a superior analysis engine, and comprehensive security measures to protect critical workloads.

Furthermore, with their proven fault-handling analysis engine, these servers can predict hardware faults and initiate self-repairs, thereby reducing the chances of human error.

Som Satsangi — Hewlett Packard Enterprise, India senior Vice president and Managing Director said: “At HPE, we are committed to providing our customers with the necessary as-a-service solutions they need.

“We have an impeccable track record of implementing and supporting SAP HANA solutions. With advanced expertise and end-to-end ownership, our support services offer an enhanced call experience that helps optimize the SAP HANA infrastructure. We are proud to be a trusted partner of Ashok Leyland, navigating the company through its SAP HANA and SAP S/4HANA journey.”
