Aban Offshore to sell Deep Driller 3 jack-up rig to ADNOC for Rs 233cr

Aban Offshore Limited, a Chennai-based offshore drilling services provider, said that its board has approved the sale of the Deep Driller 3 jack-up rig by its step down subsidiary Deep Drilling 3 Pte Ltd to Abu Dhabi-based ADNOC Drilling Company.

The consideration for the sale is INR 233.27 crores.

Built in the year 2006, the Deep Driller 3 jack-up rig can operate in water depth of up to 350ft. The jack-up rig features a 70ft cantilever and can accommodate 120 people.

According to Aban Offshore Limited, the deal is subject to requisite approvals and is expected to close in mid-December 2021.
