Hub International acquires special risk agency Dissinger Reed

Global insurance brokerage Hub International has acquired the assets of Dissinger Reed, a Kansas-based special risk agency, for an undisclosed price.

Based in Overland Park, Dissinger Reed particularly focuses on the unique insurance requirements of collegiate athletic departments and state high school associations.

Presently, the special risk agency offers tailored insurance solutions to 200 plus colleges and universities, 27 state high school associations, and National Federation of State High School Associations across the US.

Since 1982, Dissinger Reed has been an athletic insurance specialist.

According to Hub International, the core focus of Dissinger Reed is in line with its sports and entertainment specialty practice by complementing and consolidating its existing capabilities.

Dissinger Reed’s owner and CEO Christian Reed and his team will join the Hub Mid-America region.
