PKWARE acquires DCAP software provider Dataguise

PKWARE, an automated data security provider, has acquired Dataguise, a California-based software firm which provides data-centric audit and protection (DCAP) solutions.

The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition will combine Dataguise’s expertise to discover and protect data and PKWARE’s capabilities in automated remediation. This will help provide businesses with a comprehensive solution to data security and also privacy management, said PKWARE.

The DCAP software provider is said to cater to brands in financial services, retail and government, healthcare, and other sectors by enabling them in discovering sensitive information across servers, endpoints, SaaS solutions, and also public, private or hybrid cloud environments.

The combination of PKWARE and Dataguise is expected to safeguard sensitive data for over 1,000 customers across the globe.
