Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also stepped forward, commending Tej for highlighting the issue and affirming, “Child safety is the utmost priority for our Government. Amidst the backlash, Praneeth issued an apology, acknowledging his “lapse in judgment” and clarifying that his intent was dark humor, not to trivialize child abuse. The Telangana Police’s Women’s Safety Wing has registered a case, promising stringent action, and coordination with Andhra Pradesh police is underway given Praneeth’s base in Andhra Pradesh. “We are identifying offenders misusing social media for humor and will ensure justice,” asserted DGP Gupta.
