Zuari Agro reports damage at Goa fertilizer plant due to Cyclone Tauktae

Zuari Agro Chemicals said that its fertilizer plant in Zuarinagar, Goa was impacted on 16 May 2021 by Cyclone Tauktae and there could be some damages because of it.

The agriculture business of the Adventz Group said that it is currently studying the extent of the damage caused by the cyclone, which will be intimated to the stock exchanges after completion of the assessment.

Owing to this, Zuari Agro Chemicals stated that there could be a possible delay in restarting its ammonia and urea plants.

The company’s plant in Zuarinagar was commissioned in 1973. It has four separate plants – ammonia, urea, NPK A, and NPK.
