If the Zika Virus remains undetected, it can be passed on to the new born baby causing foetal deformation called microcephaly resulting in many deformities and malfunctions. A Zika Virus baby is believed to be born with unusually small heads and at times also with small brains.

Zika Virus Treatment | Zika Virus Cure

Currently there is no treatment for Zika virus. However, as a preliminary Zika Virus treatment, start taking a lot of fluid and also take rest. Do not take aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), like ibuprofen and naproxen. Zika Virus Prevention

  • Wear long sleeved shirts and pants that cover your legs fully. The idea is to keep your body covered as much as possible.
  • Relationship between Zika Virus and birth defects are yet to be established. However, there is a strong possibility that this virus affects pregnant women in the first trimester; therefore if you are trying to get pregnant, then the best precaution will be to postpone it for a few months at the least.
  • If you are travelling to a Zika Virus infected country, then make sure that you consult your physician and the concerned authorities in that country to confirm the precautionary measures.
