Wipro posts Rs 29.3bn ($395m) net income for Q2 FY2022
Wipro Q2 FY2022 results : Wipro has reported a net income of INR 29.3 billion ($395.2 million) for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2022 (Q2 FY2022) that ended 30 September 2021, which is an 18.9% increase compared to INR 24.8 billion ($330 million) reported in Q2 FY2021.
In the previous quarter, that is Q1 FY2022, Wipro had a net income of INR 32.3 billion.
The Indian IT services provider saw an increase of 23.8% year-over-year (YoY) in earnings per share in the reported quarter at INR 5.36 ($0.07).
Wipro Q2 FY2022 gross revenue was INR 196.7 billion ($2.7 billion), which is a YoY increase of 30.1%. In Q1 FY2022, Wipro’s gross revenue was INR 182.5 billion.

As per Wipro Q2 FY2022 results, the company’s IT services unit posted revenue of $2.58 billion, which is a 29.5% increase YoY.
Commenting on Wipro Q2 FY2022 results, Thierry Delaporte — CEO and Managing Director said: “The Q2 results demonstrate that our business strategy is working well. We grew at over 4.5% organic sequential growth for a second quarter in a row, resulting in a 28% YoY growth in the first half of this financial year.
“I thank our customers, partners, and colleagues as we surpassed the $10Bn milestone of annualized revenue run rate.”
