Wipro, Google Cloud to advance generative AI adoption by enterprises

Wipro said that it has expanded its partnership with Google Cloud to bring advanced generative artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities to clients worldwide.

According to the Indian It company, the collaboration involves integrating Google Cloud’s suite of generative AI products and services, such as Vertex AI, Generative AI App Builder, and the Model Garden collection of foundation models, with Wipro’s own AI intellectual property, business accelerators, and pre-built industry solutions.

The aim of this partnership is to unlock new value within enterprises and drive transformative changes in how large-scale businesses operate.

Thomas Kurian — Google Cloud CEO said: “Wipro has helped some of the world’s largest companies transform their businesses with our technology, and their investments in our generative AI capabilities has the potential to deliver new levels of innovation for customers.

As part of the expansion, Wipro plans to train 20,000 associates on Google Cloud’s generative AI technologies. This initiative will enable clients to fully leverage AI’s potential and implement secure, AI-driven transformations on a large scale.

Working together, Wipro and Google Cloud will develop and deploy new generative AI solutions to address unique industry challenges. They will also enhance common enterprise functions such as consumer experiences, marketing, supply chain performance, financial modeling, workforce management, and sustainability.

Wipro will integrate generative AI as a core solution within its extensive range of consulting services, including digital marketing, customer experience, design thinking, and financial services. It will also leverage its global innovation labs (Lab45) and crowdsourcing platform, Topcoder, to build and scale solutions that address specific client challenges.

Clients seeking to explore generative AI use cases and develop tailored generative AI strategies can access Wipro’s AI Centers of Excellence in Bangalore, London, New Jersey, Dallas, and Mountain View.

Generative AI will also play a central role in Wipro’s FullStride Cloud Studio, facilitating cloud strategy acceleration and adoption. Furthermore, Wipro will strengthen its support for the Google Cloud Rapid Migration Program (RaMP), said the Indian IT company.
