Vista Group acquires cinema software firm Retriever Solutions
Vista Group International, a New Zealand-based film industry technology provider, said that Vista Cinema has wrapped up the $6.5 million acquisition of the assets of Retriever Software, a US cinema software company that trades as Retriever Solutions.
Based in Denver, Retriever Solutions is engaged in providing fully integrated theatre management, web solutions, point-of-sale, and IT products for movie theatres and other retail environments.
Through the deal, Vista Cinema has gained access to Retriever Solutions’ software, intellectual property and customer relationships covering over 200 sites.

By joining forces with Retriever, Vista Cinema cements its position as the world’s leading software company serving the cinema industry.”
The employees of Retriever Solutions have been provided employment and will continue to operate from the firm’s offices in Michigan and Colorado, said Vista Group.
According to Vista Group, the acquisition further bolsters the market share of Vista Cinema’ in the US and creates new opportunities for Vista Cloud, its new flagship product.
