Vinamilk to construct two new dairy factories in Vietnam for improved supply chain

Vietnamese will construct two new dairy factories in Vietnam in the and Sơn La provinces, to increase its manufacturing capacity by 20%.

The proposed investment is expected to help Vinamilk strengthen its supply chain and meet the projected demand, both domestic and export, over the next two to three years.

The Hung Yen dairy facility with a total capacity of 400 million liters per year will integrate existing Vinamilk dairy farms, distribution systems, and warehouses.

The dairy factory will manufacture an array of dairy products to cater to Northern Vietnam as well as , South Korea, Japan, and the ASEAN regions.

The construction of the Hung Yen dairy factory is expected to commence in 2023.

Coming up at Moc Chau, Sơn La province, the second project includes a $130 million dairy complex.

The Moc Chau dairy factory will house dairy farms and processing factories, and produce nearly 1,000 tonnes per day to cater to the global demand.

Vo Trung Hieu — Vinamilk International Business Director said: “Vinamilk products are exported to over 57 countries and territories globally.

“With our production capacity ramped up, we are better positioned to serve the various needs of the global market.

“Our commitment to our customers remains strong, with the research and development of new product formulas aligned with market needs, including our design and packaging that are made from recycled materials.”

Vinamilk also operates two powdered milk plants in Vietnam with product ranges- Dielac, Optimum Gold, and RiDielac.

The Vietnamese dairy company with 13 factories and 14 farms in Vietnam is said to have invested a total of $615 million in its dairy factories over the last 15 years.

Established in 1976, Vinamilk has now increased its reach to 46 subordinate units in Vietnam and Laos, the Philippines, Cambodia, New Zealand, and the US.
