The Hilb Group acquires life and health agency Ganim Benefits in Connecticut

The Hilb Group (THG), a US middle market insurance agency, has acquired Ganim Group (Ganim Benefits) from Ganim Financial for an undisclosed price.

Based in Shelton, Connecticut, Ganim Benefits is a life and health agency that mainly offers employee benefits insurance. These include group medical and dental to customers across Connecticut.

Ganim Benefits’ team, which includes Valerie Koch, will join The Hill Group of New England and continue to operate from Ganim Financial’s existing office.

Valerie Koch said: “We look forward to continue partnering with Larry Ganim and Ganim Financial to serve all of our existing clients but now with the expanded resources that THG has to offer.

“THG has the same focus and dedication to servicing our clients, so we are excited to grow together.”

The Hilb Group, which is a portfolio company of The Carlyle Group, is focused on making targeted acquisitions in the middle market insurance brokerage space.
