Tejas Networks to help Airtel boost optical network capacity in key cities
Bengaluru-based Tejas Networks has been selected by communications solutions provider Bharti Airtel for boosting its optical network capacity in major metropolitan markets.
As part of this, Tejas Networks will be responsible for the supply, installation, and support pertaining to its TJ1600 DWDM/OTN products for extending the optical networks of Airtel towards the edge, support 5G backhaul, B2B services, and broadband applications.

“Under this new contract, we will provide our multi-terabit TJ1600 DWDM/OTN products to augment Airtel’s metro network capacity right up the network edge.

Through the improved capacity, Airtel will be able to provide a superior experience to its customers as data consumption in India increases rapidly.
