Tejas Networks to deploy 100G/100G+ DWDM solution for TelOne

Tejas Networks said that Zimbabwean telecom company TelOne has deployed its 100G/100G+ coherent dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) solution.

The Indian communications equipment company said that its 100G DWDM/OTN solution was selected by the Zimbabwean firm following a competitive bidding process and a field trial.

Tejas Networks said that it could demonstrate high-speed transmission of multiple 100G lambdas successfully while adhering to the stringent performance and reliability needs in a cost-effective manner.

Our solution empowers our customers to diversify their existing DWDM vendor base and use our proven, cost-effective solution to expand and inter-operate.

TelOne is said to have strong connections to various undersea cable systems and has stake in the West Indian Ocean Cable Company (WIOCC), which in turn has a major interest in the East African Submarine System (EASSy) cable.
