Tech Mahindra to help Telefónica Germany / O2 in end-to-end IT transformation
Tech Mahindra has been selected by German telecommunications provider Telefonica Germany / Oz to drive its end-to-end IT transformation.
Through the digital transformation partnership, Tech Mahindra will support the German firm to come up with faster product launches and offer a more ‘human centered’ experience to its customers in the mass market segment.
Last August, Tech Mahindra was selected by Telefonica Germany / O2 to drive its network and services operations apart from developing use cases for 5G, artificial intelligence (Al), and also machine learning technologies.
Tech Mahindra said that the latest announcement further bolsters its two-decade long partnership with the German telecommunications provider and reiterates its expertise in executing large scale digital transformation programs.
Mallik Rao – Chief Technology & Information Officer of Telefónica Germany / O2 said: “Our large-scale IT transformation project is a key milestone for us in order to increase the reliability of our systems, improve our customer satisfaction and accelerate innovation and time-to-market as we move towards our 5G goal for consumers and business.

Tech Mahindra said that it will offer a ‘digital first’ experience by utilizing OOTB (Out of the Box) process libraries and its capabilities in digital technologies such as BSS (Business Support Systems), Cloud, Data & Analytics, Customer Experience, and AI.
The company said that the multi-year partnership involves modernization of existing stacks based on cloud native products, which will fast track Telefónica Germany’s digital journey and help it in becoming a digital champion.

Tech Mahindra said hat it will use its #NewAgeDELIVERY platform to execute the large-scale digital transformation for Telefónica. The platform is said to bring together the latest technologies, frameworks, methodologies to design, build, and deploy products/ applications quicker, cheaper, and better.
The company further use its AQT (Automation-Quality-Time) change framework, which is specifically designed to boost business efficiency and empower innovation, via intelligent automation and design thinking.
In another development, Telefónica Germany / O2 has signed a five-year contract with Wipro to help execute a radical IT transformation (RAITT) program.
