Tech Mahindra boosts hybrid cloud capabilities with Microsoft collaboration

Indian IT services provider Tech Mahindra said that it has expanded its collaboration with Microsoft for strengthening its hybrid cloud capabilities.

According to Tech Mahindra, the collaboration aims to tap Microsoft Azure Stack HCI, a new hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution, for fast tracking hybrid cloud transformation, build enterprise resilience, and consolidate virtualized workloads.

Talal Alqinawi — Senior Director, Azure at Microsoft, said: “Enterprises are increasingly accelerating their hybrid cloud strategies to future-proof their business.

“By extending our longstanding relationship with Tech Mahindra to Azure Stack HCI, we will empower enterprises to build and deploy cloud-native applications with seamless access to cloud services.”

Tech Mahindra said that the integration with Azure will allow it to maximize value from on-premise investments while maintaining business continuity seamlessly. Furthermore, the Azure integration will secure resources and unlock new business scenarios for enterprises.

The Indian IT services provider by being an Azure Stack portfolio partner, expects to connect to Azure seamlessly for hybrid cloud scenarios across remote offices, data centres, and cloud and edge locations.

Through the collaboration, Tech Mahindra will look to drive innovation and agility for its customers by aligning their objectives and future product development in the Azure Stack HCI space.

Recently, Tech Mahindra opened a dedicated ‘Microsoft Business Unit’ which will focus on developing enterprise cloud solutions by tapping the company’s digital expertise aligned with the priorities and standard partner expectations of Microsoft.

Last month, Tech Mahindra reported its Q1 FY22 results, as per which there was a 39.2% growth in its profit after tax (PAT) at INR 1,353 crores, compared to INR 972 crores in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. (Read here about Tech Mahindra Q1 FY22 results)
