Tata Steel group said that its tubes division has launched the Tata EzyFit brand of tubes for door and window frames to expand its branded products and retail solutions.
According to the company, as steel is fully recyclable, the tubes offered under the Tata EzyFit brand are sustainable.
Tata Steel claimed that the geometry of Tata EzyFit tubes allows for a high strength-to-weight ratio which makes them suitable for welding, shaping, and constructing robust frames that snugly fit with doors and windows without gaps, while offering customized frame as per the requirements of customers. This drives greater functionality and usage in a range of applications such as window frames and door frames, said the Indian steelmaker.
Rajeev Singhal — Tata Steel Vice President of Marketing and Sales (Flat Products) said: “As India surges forward, there is a need for newer, innovative, and faster construction solutions that will fuel this momentum. With Tata EzyFit, we aspire to be a market leader in new-age construction technology solutions, improving the quality of people’s lives every day.”
Tata Steel also claimed that the Tata EzyFit sections have superior strength and aesthetics and are a better and sustainable choice than wooden frames for anchoring doors and windows. The Tata EzyFit frames are also termite-proof, maintenance-free, weather-resistant, and cost-effective.
The Tata EzyFit brand of tubes for door and window frames are available in a couple of options — single-door and double-door frame sections. While the size of the single door frame section is 100×55 mm2, size of the double door frame section is 140×80 mm2, said Tata Steel.
The Indian steel making company said that the Tata EzyFit sections are prepared from YST-210 grade hot-rolled steel coils that give the strength to sustain the imposed loads.
