Tata Steel said that it produced five million tons of crude steel in 3QFY23 in India, which is a 4% increase compared to 4.81 million tons produced in 3QFY22.
In the previous reported quarter, that is 2QFY23, Tata Steel’s domestic crude steel production was 4.8 million tons.
The Indian steelmaking company said that its domestic deliveries of crude steel for 3QFY23 were 4.73 million tons which is a 7% growth compared to 4.42 million tons in 3QFY22.
Tata Steel Europe produced 2.25 million tons of crude steel in 3QFY23, while Tata Steel Thailand produced 0.27 million tons of the commodity during the same quarter.
The reported quarter saw Neelachal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL) start operations within three months of being acquired by Tata Steel and is currently going through a ramp-up to rated capacity of around one million tons.
