Tata Power subsidiary commissions 200MW solar power project in Rajasthan
TP Saurya Limited (TPSL), under Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), announces the successful commissioning of a 200MW solar project in Bikaner, Rajasthan. This project, aimed at Tata Power Trading Company Limited, a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company Limited, is expected to generate 485 Million Units of energy annually. It represents a significant stride towards India’s renewable energy goals, aligning with the company’s mission to substantially contribute to the nation’s clean energy capacity.
This initiative is seamlessly integrated into the Central Transmission Utility (CTU) BUS, facilitating efficient clean energy distribution across the region. Despite facing challenges such as extreme weather conditions, including temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius, cold winters, sandstorms, and geopolitical obstacles, the project was completed on time. This achievement underscores TPREL’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions and their capability in exceptional project execution and engineering expertise.
The Bikaner solar project is not only notable for its substantial energy output but also for its remarkable environmental impact, estimated to reduce the carbon footprint by 388,000 tonnes annually.
