These charging stations will be strategically located across major metropolitan cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. This collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility of charging solutions for small electric commercial vehicles, thereby propelling the nation’s shift towards eco-friendly transportation.

As part of this strategic move, Tata Motors and Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited will offer exclusive charging tariffs to owners of Tata Motors’ electric commercial vehicles. This initiative is set to reduce operating costs and increase profitability for customers, making electric commercial vehicles a more viable option for businesses. With the planned expansion, users will soon have access to nearly 1,000 fast chargers nationwide, significantly boosting the electric vehicle charging infrastructure in India.

Expanding the Charging Network Nationwide

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Tata Power Company Limited, has been at the forefront of developing comprehensive EV charging solutions under the brand name EZ Charge. The company has expanded its network to include over 100,000 home chargers, more than 5,500 public and semi-public charging points, and 1,100 bus charging stations across 530 cities and towns. These chargers are conveniently located at highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, and residential complexes, making electric mobility more accessible than ever.

Enhancing Electric Vehicle Offerings

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, offers the Ace EV—India’s most advanced electric small commercial vehicle. Supported by over 150 Electric Vehicle Service Centres nationwide, the Ace EV features an advanced battery management system and ‘Fleet Edge’ telematics. These smart technologies improve vehicle uptime and road safety by providing real-time insights into vehicle status, health, location, and driver behaviour.
