Momentus secures three SpaceX Transporter rideshare missions in 2024

Nasdaq-listed commercial space company Momentus has executed a contract with SpaceX for reserving three Transporter rideshare missions in 2024.

The contract will enable Momentus to fly on three missions with SpaceX next year. This includes all the Transporter rideshare missions scheduled in 2024.

The three missions are the Transporter-10, which is aimed to launch by January 2024, the Transporter-11, which has a targeted launch by June 2024, and the Transporter-12 mission planned by October 2024.

Chris Kinman — Momentus Chief Commercial Officer said: “This launch schedule enables us to meet the anticipated demand for our services.

“Providing mission management and integration services is just the starting point for the work Momentus does, and we’re happy to accommodate our customers with speed, affordability, and flexibility both in getting to space and in executing their missions once in orbit.”

The commercial space company provides in-space infrastructure services. These cover in-space transportation, in-orbit services, and hosted payloads.

Earlier this month, Momentus achieved the first orbital raise of its Vigoride-5 spacecraft using its Microwave Electrothermal Thruster (MET) that utilizes distilled water as propellant.
