Leading Indian auto manufacturer, Tata Motors, amplifies its eco-conscious endeavors with the inauguration of its second Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The cutting-edge facility, aptly named ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect’, is a testament to Tata Motors’ ongoing commitment to sustainable mobility and responsible end-of-life vehicle management.
This state-of-the-art facility was officially opened by Tukuni Sahu, the Minister of Water Resources, Commerce & Transport, Government of Odisha, in an event attended by key stakeholders from the Government of Odisha and Tata Motors. ‘Re.Wi.Re’, capable of disassembling 10,000 vehicles annually, promises a greener future by employing eco-friendly processes to scrap end-of-life vehicles of all brands.
Tukuni Sahu, at the unveiling of this second facility, articulated the importance of this development, “Today marks a significant milestone in our efforts towards sustainable development in Odisha. The inauguration of this new scrappage facility is a crucial step towards reducing the environmental impact of our transportation sector. This facility promotes cleaner and more efficient modes of transportation while providing a convenient and safe way to dispose of old vehicles.”
Tata Motors’ Business Head – Trucks, Rajesh Kaul, echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the transformational impact of such an initiative. “By implementing globally benchmarked recycling processes that host modern equipment for safe and sustainable vehicle scrapping, we aim to extract utmost value from scrap materials and minimise waste for a brighter future.”
