Tata Consultancy Services to revamp finance and payroll functions for BBC

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global IT services, consulting and business solutions organisation, has been chosen by The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) to revamp its finance and payroll operations and manage the application landscape for enhanced agility and resilience.

This long-term partnership will involve Tata Consultancy Services utilising its contextual knowledge, unique platforms, partner ecosystem, and future-focused talent pool to propel the broadcaster’s media business model reimagination and bolster growth. The collaboration will include managing various procedures across strategic and transactional finance operations, infusing them with digital technologies to enhance efficiency, process speed and outcomes. Advanced analytics will be used to facilitate quicker and more informed decision-making.

Tata Consultancy Services will employ its artificial intelligence (AI) driven human-machine collaboration suite, TCS Cognix, which offers pre-built, cloud-based modules that utilise AI, machine learning, and intelligent automation. This suite integrates effectively with point solutions from multiple partners. The company will also offer application management and change delivery services for the broadcaster’s application estate, supporting finance, procurement, and HR functions.

With the implementation of Tata Consultancy Services’ unified operations model, which integrates the business process and application layers, a more holistic problem diagnosis and issue resolution will be possible, along with seamless change management. Tata Consultancy Services will also assist in deploying a new partner payroll platform and services with an integrated analytics layer, to simplify the broadcaster’s payroll function.
