Swire Renewable Energy A/S has strategically acquired Altitec Blade Services (Altitec Trading Limited), marking a significant step in expanding its capabilities in the renewable energy sector. Altitec Blade Services, known for its expertise in wind turbine rotor blade inspection, repair, and maintenance, operates across the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, and South Africa. This acquisition enables Swire Renewable Energy to enhance its service offerings and extend its global reach in the wind energy market.

With this acquisition, Swire Renewable Energy significantly broadens its service portfolio to include comprehensive blade service and maintenance, predictive analysis, engineering, autonomous drone inspections, and bespoke blade repair training. This move not only strengthens the company’s technical capacity but also increases its operational bandwidth and regional presence in the wind power generation industry.

Ryan Smith, CEO of Swire Renewable Energy, emphasized the growth achieved in the blade maintenance division over the past year and highlighted the technical and regional synergies between Swire and Altitec. The integration aims to leverage these synergies, expanding service offerings across a more extensive network, including HV electrical, mechanical, pre-assembly, and installation services.

The focus on developing business units in Africa and Australia reflects Swire’s commitment to capturing emerging markets in renewable energy services. With significant group experience in these regions, Swire plans to develop a competitive position through long-standing relationships.
