Sonia Eland takes helm at HCLTech for Australia and New Zealand operations
HCLTech, a global leader in technology services, has announced the appointment of Sonia Eland as the new Executive Vice President and Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand, effective April 1, 2024. Sonia will be reporting to Swapan Johri, President of Growth Markets at HCLTech, and will be based in Sydney.

During his tenure, Michael was instrumental in establishing HCLTech as a key digital technology services partner in the region. Sonia’s appointment marks a significant leadership transition, with her bringing over three decades of experience across various industries such as consulting, technology, banking, retail, and travel.

Before joining HCLTech, Sonia served as the Technology Strategy and Transformation Partner at Deloitte Australia. Her impressive career portfolio includes stints with DXC Technology, CSC, Fujitsu, Westpac, and HSBC. She is also an alumna of Macquarie Business School and the University of Sydney, adding academic distinction to her professional accomplishments.
