Skyborn Sweden advances on Polargrund Offshore wind farm with new permit application
Skyborn Sweden has made a significant stride towards enhancing Sweden’s clean energy capabilities by submitting a permit application for the construction of the 3,000 MW Polargrund Offshore wind farm. This ambitious project, set to be located 35 kilometers off the southern coast of Kalix and Haparanda, is poised to generate up to 10 TWh of fossil-free electricity annually. Once operational, it will cater to over seven percent of Sweden’s current electricity demands, crucial for powering the burgeoning industries of Norrbotten as they transition towards more sustainable operations.
