Serco, a prominent provider of public services, has finalized an agreement to acquire European Homecare (EHC), a specialist in immigration services for public sector customers in Germany, from Korte-Stiftung. The deal, valued at €40 million (£34 million), is set to significantly enhance Serco’s reach in the immigration services sector upon completion, subject to competition authority clearance.

Its offerings encompass accommodation, medical and social care, training, and education for asylum seekers. With an experienced management team, over 2,000 employees, and management of more than 100 facilities, EHC provides support for over 36,000 people seeking asylum.
