SeQuent Scientific gets EU GMP approval for tablets dosage form in Turkey

SeQuent Scientific Limited said that its tablets dosage manufacturing line in Turkey has secured the European Union good manufacturing practices approval (EU GMP approval).

The Mumbai-based pure-play animal health company said that the approval was complemented further by the renewal of EU GMP license for eight other manufacturing lines for multiple dosage forms. The dosage types include beta-lactam, terminal sterilization, non-beta lactam, mastitis, aerosol, powder beta-lactam, pesticide, and solids in Turkey.

Apart from the EU GMP, SeQuent Scientific’s Turkish manufacturing lines also have GMP certificates from Turkish, Ethiopian, Saudi, and Sudanese authorities.

With the approvals, SeQuent Scientific’s subsidiary – Alivira, an animal health company, now has various EU GMP approved facilities around the world to enable it to better cater to the its customers’ requirements in the regulated markets of Europe, and also access to alternative manufacturing sites so that supply of high quality products is ensured.

SeQuent Scientific claims to be the third-largest player in the ruminant market in Turkey with more than 120 product registrations and a consolidated market share of around 10%. The company operates in the country through its fully-owned subsidiaries Provet and Topkim.
