Seahawk oil pipeline : Max Midstream Texas to launch open season
Max Midstream Texas is initiating an open season for its Seahawk oil pipeline, seeking shipper commitments for services in the Eagle Ford region.
The Seahawk oil pipeline along with the associated terminal was acquired by the Houston-based midstream company in September 2020 from Oaktree Capital. The crude oil pipeline will connect the Port of Calhoun directly to the Eagle Ford and also Permian Basins to transport up to 20 million barrels of oil a month.
Max Midstream Texas said that the open season for the Seahawk oil pipeline will give scope for prospective shippers to secure firm priority crude oil transportation under binding transportation services agreements.
The open season for the Seahawk pipeline will begin on 2 November 2020 and will end on 3 December 2020.
Max Midstream Texas will offer a new marine export capability to the market at its terminal in Point Comfort, Texas, which is expected to begin operations by January 2021.
