RITES Ltd., NEEPCO to boost hydropower infrastructure in Northeast India

RITES Ltd., a leading transport infrastructure consultancy organization, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO). This significant collaboration focuses on enhancing hydropower stations in the Siang Basin, with RITES providing consultancy for logistical infrastructure. The Arunachal Pradesh Government has tasked NEEPCO with executing five key hydropower projects in the Siang Basin, highlighting the region’s commitment to renewable energy. Under the MoU, RITES Ltd. will extend its expertise as a Project Management Consultant. This role encompasses various facets, including rail infrastructure, signalling & telecommunications, overhead equipment, and conveyor systems. Additionally, RITES will contribute to the development of roads, buildings, and other essential civil structures.
