Renantis, Ventient Energy to merge to form major renewable IPP in Europe

Renantis and Ventient Energy, under the advisory of the Global Infrastructure group at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, have announced plans to integrate their operations, creating one of the largest renewable independent power producers (IPPs) in Europe.

The consolidated enterprise, boasting 4.2GW of installed capacity across over 200 facilities, is set to rank among the top five European onshore wind IPPs. Together, Renantis and Ventient Energy operate a diverse array of onshore wind farms, solar plants, and energy storage facilities across nine countries in Europe and the USA.

The company’s development pipeline, which stands at an impressive 18 GW, comprises onshore wind, floating offshore wind, solar PV, energy storage, and green hydrogen projects. By integrating Renantis’ development strengths with Ventient Energy’s operational expertise, the unified company is positioned to become a leading entity that owns, develops, and operates a varied portfolio of renewable energy assets.
