Ramkrishna Forgings Limited wins maiden order in EV segment

Ramkrishna Forgings Limited, a supplier of rolled, forged, and machined products, has won its maiden order in the electric vehicle (EV) segment from an undisclosed global tier 1 original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in India.

The Kolkata-based company said that the order represents the start of a new segment for it while giving scope for global expansion.

Naresh Jalan — Managing Director of Ramkrishna Forgings Limited said: “This is our first order in EV segment which is testimony to our diverse technological expertise enabling us to further diversifies our product offerings.

“With strong growth seen in EV segment globally this order will enable us to further strengthen our relationship with existing customers as well as new ones in due course. Further our foray into EV segment augurs well for us given our strategy of added emphasis on newer geographies globally.”

Established in 1981, Ramkrishna Forgings Limited manufactures forged products for Indian and overseas markets, catering to the automotive, railways, bearings, farm equipment, earth moving and mining, power and construction, oil and gas, and other sectors.

The forged products manufacturer has facilities at Jamshedpur and Howrah apart from offices in the US and Mexico.
