Ramco Cements commissions line 3 at Jayanthipuram cement factory
Ramco Cements said that it has commissioned line 3 of its Jayanthipuram cement factory near Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh.
Line 3 has a clinker manufacturing capacity of 1.50 million tonnes per annum (MTPA), said the Indian cement manufacturer.
Ramco Cements had invested INR 740 crores on the line 3 project at the Jayanthipuram cement factory. As part of the project, the cement manufacturer had also installed a 27MW waste heat recovery plant (WHRU).
The waste heat recovery plant at the Jayanthipuram cement plant has seven boilers.

Ramco Cements had broken ground on line 3 of the Jayanthipuram cement factory in December 2018.
Commissioned in 1986, the Ramco Cements plant in Jayanthipuram in Krishna district had a capacity of 3.1MTPA through two units, prior to the commissioning of Line 3. The Jayanthipuram cement factory has a capacity of 4.6MTPA now.
